K.C. Kim -- SAMSUNG, Inc.

K.C., presently a International Recruiting Director for Samsung SDS, has over 15 years of experience in project management, consulting, business development, supply chain management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His prior business consulting experience include assisting a Korea based venture capital firm in establishing operation in Silicon Valley and accessing Korean American community for potential investment opportunities, and helping entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 biotech company in new business development, market research, and strategy execution.

As a management consultant for Strategic Decision Group (SDG), K.C. assisted technology based clients in setting strategic agendas, evaluating alternatives and business portfolios, and assessing risks and uncertainties associated with execution of strategies. In addition, K.C. has experience working for Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurial start-up companies in electronic commerce, automotive manufacturing, food processing, metal joining and fabrication, and specialty metals processing industries.

K.C. holds a M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern Univeristy, Master of engineering management from Robert S. McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, M.S. in engineering from Purdue University, and B.S. in engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Janice Cha -- IBM

Ms. Cha is a consultant with IBM Global Services in the CRM Alliance Services practice. She specializes in the CRM, IVR, CTI, and contact center markets, developing new business opportunities for IBM. She has also worked as a technical consultant in planning, designing, system implementation, team leadership, and end-user training. Currently, she is developing new business opportunities and managing the alliance with one of its major business partners integrating IBM's solutions to provide an end-to-end Contact Center solution.Her clients include Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunication, healthcare, industrial and financial sectors. She was appointed for the IBM Sell and Support Diversity Council. In addition, IBM recognized her as an Asian-American leader and nominated her for the LEAP leadership training.

Ms. Cha received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the School of Management at Boston University.

Brian Song -- www.lawyersong.com

Brian H. Song, Esq. is one of the earliest member, having joined KASE since 1997. From 2000 to last year, he served as the Treasurer/CFO. He is an attorney specializing in assisting international start-up companies and venture funds. He specializes in international tax, corporate, venture financing, and immigration. Previously, he was with Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP, a fourth largest Silicon Valley law firm. Currently, he has his own practice.

Sarah Kim -- Gorman Group LCC, Blancco

Sarah Kim is the Vice President/COO of The Gorman Group LLC and the President of group’s Data Erasure software company, Blancco. She is also the Partner of International Market Investment & Development Company, Armstrong Global Partners.

She started the distribution company of Finnish software product Blancco last August and successfully established sales distribution network through master distributor and reseller channels in the US. Her recent accomplishments in Asia include partnership agreements with iMarket Korea (Samsung) and Mitsui Corporation Japan.

She recently managed the joint venture agreement between Hauri Inc. (Korean Anti Virus Software Company) and Armstrong Global Partners to establish Hauri Europe GmbH.

Currently, she is working with a Korean technology firm with patent technology to introduce its product into the US market.

Previously, she held a position at Ventro Corporation (currently, NexPrise, Inc.) as Director of Strategic Alliances and Business Development by working with many international blue chip companies including SK Corporation, Mitsui Engineering and Dupont on building their supply chain management strategy. She was invited to speak at various internet/technology conferences in Korea and advised several companies on their international market development strategy.

Before completing her MBA degree at the University of Chicago’s graduate School of Business, she managed two US offices of international trading company based in Korea for 4 years after she completed her career at Samsung Corporation.

Jesse Kim

Areas of expertise: semiconductor, telecom, wireless, computers; global marketing and business development (Asia, US), deal sourcing

Jesse Kim is a veteran entrepreneur of over 10 years with experiences in founding and managing technology start-up companies, including a Silicon Valley start-up company, a technology marketing consulting firm, and a manufacturing company in Asia. As the founding president and CEO of 3d4W, a mobile multimedia solution company, he raised a seed capital of $2.5M from the US, Asia, and Japan during the bottom of the market in 2001-2002. Prior to 3d4W, Jesse Kim ran a multimedia-related design and manufacturing company with production facilities in Asia where the revenue increased from less than $1M to over $16M in less than 2 years under his management. Through his business experiences, he has broad contacts in Asia, including Japan, Korea, and Taiwan – as well as in the US. He is currently working with selective private and public clients for technology sourcing and global business development. In his earlier career, he was a marketing and business development manager and executive at various companies including Intel, Motorola, and TeleCruz. He holds a BSEE from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

John Park -- Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

John Park is an associate in the Business & Finance Group in the Palo Alto office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where his practice focuses on corporate and securities laws, with an emphasis on private venture financings, including both debt and equity offerings, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as general corporate representation, primarily in the context of entrepreneurial, start-up and emerging growth technology companies. He works with companies on a wide range of matters including initial formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, the periodic reporting requirements of publicly held companies and general corporate counseling. He works with companies in a variety of industries. His experience includes representation of both acquirors and targets in a variety of public-private and private-private business combination transactions, as well as issuers and venture capital firms in private securities offerings.

SanKu Jo, Ph.D. -- Verifia Inc.

SanKu is an expert in Internet infrastructure and applications with over 15 years of experience in telecommunications, networks and Internet technologies. Prior to co-founding Verifia, SanKu worked at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory as a Computer Scientist on the Next Generation Internet (NGI) and GRID projects. Previously he worked for the Korean Telecom Research Center as a member of their technical staff on ISDN applications and Internet projects. He started the first Internet-based Bulletin Board Systems (KIDS) in Korea back in 1991 and authored an Internet Guide Book in 1995. SanKu received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, emphasizing future Internet architecture and scalable multicast video-conferencing, from Texas A&M University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from KwangWoon University in Korea.

Fred Oh -- Quarter Network Storage

Fred Oh is a co-founder of Quartet Network Storage, Inc. and responsible for all aspects of marketing and sales for Quartet’s high-performance Network Attached Storage (NAS) “engines” for corporate enterprises. Since its inception in September 2000, Mr. Oh led the development of the business plan, product-line strategy, product requirements, and creation of the companys' corporate identity. Mr. Oh also spearheaded the company’s fundraising efforts and VC community relationships.

Just prior to Quartet, Mr. Oh served as Sr. Director of Product Marketing for Acer, Inc. managing P&L and overall product-line strategies for their Altos® Servers, Veriton® Desktops, TravelMate® Notebooks and networking products. Altogether, Mr. Oh has more than seventeen years of product marketing and development experience, having worked at Axil Computers, Convergent Technologies/Unisys, Hewlett-Packard, and NCD.

He also has extensive experience developing strategic alliances with companies such as Microsoft, CA, Oracle, WindRiver, and many others. Mr. Oh attended the University of California at Davis, with a B.S. in Computer Science & Mathematics.

He is a UNIX programmer by training, and obtained his product marketing skills while in the trenches. He is also an avid Star Trek and Star Wars fan.

Edward Dhong -- www.coudert.com

Edward Dhong is a senior associate in the Corporate Transaction International Business Group of Baker & McKenzie, San Francisco. Mr. Dhong's primary focus is representing both international and domestic venture capital funds and corporate investors on capital private equity and debt investments in companies worldwide. Mr. Dhong also represents clients in M&A and other corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in 1999, Mr. Dhong worked as a foreign legal consultant in Korea for three years practicing corporate and intellectual property law.

Mr. Dhong is active in the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California, Korean American Society of Entrepreneurs, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco and other professional and charitable organizations. Mr. Dhong was born in Seoul, Korea, but was educated in the United States. He received a B.A. in Economics from U.C. Berkeley in 1992 and a J.D. from U.C. Hastings in 1996. Mr. Dhong is admitted to practice in California.

Mr. Dhong is fluent in both Korean and English.

James Kim -- Accel Corp.

James Kim is a Marketing Manager at Accell Corp, a global supplier of connectivity solutions and mobile accessories. In this capacity, James oversees product development, product introduction, marketing, and channel development for a variety of innovative connectivity products. As an early member of Accell, James has been responsible for helping to establish Accell’s core business.

Prior to joining Accell, James spent the majority of his career working in a variety of key technical and managerial positions in the fiber optic telecommunications industry. James spent most of his career at Optical Coating Laboratory, Inc (a JDS Uniphase company) where he was a founding member of the Telecommunications Division. While with OCLI, James managed multiple manufacturing and product development teams. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Margaret Kim -- GE Commercial Finance

Margaret Kim is a Vice President at GE Capital where she has spent most of her tenure at the $3 billion private equity fund investing in healthcare and technology companies. As a board member to numerous early- to mid-stage companies, she has advised management on strategic and financial growth. Previously, she was in a business development role at specialty pharmaceutical company. Margaret began her career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers in NYC where she executed in a broad range of debt and equity offerings.

Margaret is active in numerous charitable and professional organizations; most recently, she was a judge at UC, Berkeley-Haas Business School, Business Plan Competition.

Margaret holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
